Municipal administration must be grounded in the principles of transparency and integrity to promote fairness and foster public trust in the bureaucratic system. Transparency has thus become a central principle of public sector operations, requiring the disclosure of accurate information and the establishment of effective internal and citizen-based monitoring mechanisms. Local administrative organizations must also respond to increasing societal expectations for efficient, transparent, and accountable budget management. This article aimed to study and analyzed strategies for promoting morality and transparency in local administrative organizations in the form of municipalities, focusing on five key areas: 1. public information disclosure by government organizations, 2. internal and external audit processes, 3. anti-corruption prevention measures within municipalities, 4. anti-corruption practices in foreign municipalities. Findings from the study revealed that: 1. The disclosure of public sector information, based on the principle “openness is the rule, secrecy is the exception,” plays a crucial role in promoting transparency within municipalities, but its effectiveness depends on the integrity of administrators and the enforcement of internal regulations; 2. Audit mechanisms both internal and external help institutionalize transparency, particularly through citizen participation in monitoring and oversight; 3. Anti-corruption prevention measures must integrate both ethical awareness and operational controls, including the use of digital technology and effective grievance channels; and 4. International municipal anti-corruption measures, which emphasize law enforcement, independent oversight bodies, and civil society engagement.
Tanaphat Buaphanat Pattama Poonoy Copyright (c) 2025 Academic Graduate Journal 2025-09-25 2025-09-25 3 3 136 148 GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC SECTOR MANAGEMENT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT https://so18.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/A_GJ/article/view/1102
This article aimed to explore modern approaches to public administration that respond effectively to the rapid changes of the digital era and promote sustainable development. Currently, the transition to the digital age has made public administration adapt to the current state of technology to provide fast and efficient public services. The use of digital technology in public administration, such as big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, helps the public sector plan and manage resources effectively. However, there are also challenges, such as data security and personnel skills development. Digital administration requires rapid adaptation and the use of digital technology to increase efficiency in public services. Modern public administration must therefore develop policies and processes that are consistent with digital transformation. In addition to increasing work efficiency, it also creates transparency and tangible public participation in public administration. In the future, public administration will continue to rely on cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as effective planning to create confidence and transparency in the administration system that sustainably responds to the needs of society.
Phrapramot Buddhadhammo (Saelee) Copyright (c) 2025 Academic Graduate Journal 2025-09-25 2025-09-25 3 3 173 180
