This research utilizes the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, combined with the Appreciation Influence Control (AIC) technique. The sample group includes government agencies, private sector entities, and local villagers who are stakeholders in the area. A purposive sampling method was used to select 30 participants. Data collection tools included focus group discussions, and data analysis was conducted to draw conclusions and present them descriptively.</p> <p>The research findings revealed that the Ban Hua Ao community has a process for developing community-based creative tourism using the AIC technique, which consists of 3 steps. 1) Studying the community context and potential for community-based creative tourism in Nakhon Pathom Province: it was found that the Thai-Chinese community engages in fruit farming, excels in organic agriculture, and provides safe food. The community meets the excellent standard criteria for community-based tourism management (score of 3.42). <br />2) Preparing the Ban Hua Ao community learning center area before developing community-based creative tourism: This is done under the name "Market in the Garden" with the slogan "The Nature of Health Lovers." 3) Piloting the "Market in the Garden": This involves launching and continuing the market activities up to the present.</p> Wongrawit Nomnumsab Copyright (c) 2024 Community-based Tourism Research Journal 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 1 1 1 14 Behavior of Thai Tourists toward Tai Dam Cultural Village of Khao Kaew sub-district, Chiang Khan district, Loei province https://so18.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CBTRJ/article/view/401 <p>The purpose of this research is to study Thai tourists’ behavior toward Tai Dam Cultural Village, Khao Kaew Sub-district, Chiang Khan District, Loei. This is a quantitative study. The research tool is a questionnaire used to collect data from 400 tourists traveling the Tai Dam Cultural Village, Khao Kaeo Sub-district, Chiang Khan District, Loei. The statistics used in data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.</p> <p>The research results found that most of the respondents were female, aged 20-30 years, married, a bachelor's degree level of education, a career in private business, and a monthly income of 30,000 baht or more. The purposes of tourism were recreation and first-time travel by a private car. The trips typically included 2 - 3 people, took place on weekends, and incurred travel expenses of 1,001 - 3,000 baht. The level of opinions about tourism activities that affect the decision to travel to the Tai Dam Cultural Village was high overall. Data were collected using questionnaires from the population of Ban Rai Muang community, Nam Man Sub-district, Mueang District, Loei Province, totaling 350 people. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results found that most respondents were female, aged 51-60 years, married with primary school education or lower. Most of them are farmers with an income of 20,001-25,000 baht/year. Regarding the elements of tourist attractions, the sum of the results in each area revealed that the respondents perceived a negative impact on the community economy at the highest level (Mean = 4.63, SD = 0.55). The positive environmental impact was also at the highest level (Mean = 4.45, SD = 0.28). Social and cultural aspects had a positive impact at the highest level (Mean = 4.44, SD = 0.33), and the positive impact on the way of life was at the highest level (Mean = 4.33, SD = 0.36). Additionally, social and cultural aspects showed the highest level of negative impact (Mean = 4.30, SD = 0.46). The positive impact on community economy was at the highest level (Mean = 4.27, SD = 0.38). A survey of 400 respondents was conducted to gather data on demographic characteristics, travel behaviors, and satisfaction levels.</p> <p>The findings reveal a diverse profile of senior travelers, with a slightly higher proportion of females and a majority holding at least a Bachelor's Degree. Income distribution indicates that a significant portion of respondents report relatively higher incomes, with the majority falling within the range of USD 2,501 to USD 5,000.</p> <p>Regarding travel behaviors, relaxation emerges as the primary motive for travel among senior travelers, with the internet being the main source of trip information. The study also highlights preferred activities, with relaxation and sightseeing being the most favored. Furthermore, the research identifies key attributes of luxury chain hotels that enhance guest trust and satisfaction, including tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, core benefits, and entertainment/technology.
