Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, percentage, and standard deviation. Inferential statistics included exploratory factor analysis. Data from the factor analysis were analyzed by important performance analysis.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The research results found that the authentic elements of Tai Saek ethnic identity consisted of 7 factors: factor 1, physical characteristics and dress; factor 2, local cuisine; factor 3, service; factor 4, ethnic symbols; factor 5, nature practice; factor 6, souvenirs; and factor 7, ethnic interpretation. Then, the analysis of the importance and the perception of the authenticity of ethnic identity was compiled that quadrant 1:Concentrate here was the communication from ethnic group and quadrant 2: Keep up the good work was the physical characteristics, clothing and local food. In addition, Low priority in quadrant 3: consisted of services and practices regarding nature. Lastly, Possible overkill in quadrant 4: was symbols representing </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">ethnicity and souvenirs. Community tourism leaders or related persons can use this information to further develop community tourism in the area to maintain the identity of the community and to encourage repeat tourists.</span></p> Chalida Chuaysook Copyright (c) 2024 Community-based Tourism Research Journal 2024-12-29 2024-12-29 1 2 1 18 The Potential of Community-Based Tourism Development Under the Low-Carbon and Sustainability Criteria: A Case Study of Tham Phuea Phordee Community Enterprise, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province https://so18.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CBTRJ/article/view/758 <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The research study on the Potential of Community-Based Tourism Development Under the Low-Carbon and Sustainability Criteria: A Case Study of Tham Phuea Phordee Community Enterprise, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This research aimed: 1) to assess the potential readiness for low-carbon tourism, and 2) to evaluate low-carbon tourism criteria at Tham Phuea Phordee Community Enterprise, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The results showed that the assessment of low-carbon tourism potential, based on seven criteria for evaluating tourism business development potential, scored 50 points. Combined with four criteria for evaluating low-carbon tourism sustainability, the total score was 93.57 points, which was considered excellent. Recommendations for developing the community enterprise include: 1) seeking support from relevant agencies regarding plastic reduction, 2) educating the community about carbon emission reduction, and 3) implementing waste separation campaigns in each village to reduce contaminated waste and improve management efficiency.</span></p> Achiraya Promlung Phatthamon Meesomsak Arrirat Japhob Tinnpop Sorybuachan Kewalin Srisroi Nipaporn Laebua Copyright (c) 2024 Community-based Tourism Research Journal 2024-12-29 2024-12-29 1 2 19 31 The Cultural Tourism Management with Herbal Knowledge of Ethnic Group, Suphanburi Province https://so18.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CBTRJ/article/view/441 <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The objectives of the research on tourism management, agricultural Culture and herbal medicine of ethnic groups in Suphanburi Province are as follow 1) to research and develop agricultural tourism management models for ethnic groups 2) to study the wisdom of ethnic groups regarding agricultural culture from wisdom, especially herbal medicine or local plants 3) to study the agricultural tourism patterns of ethnic groups in Suphanburi Province. This research is qualitative research through 12 of non-participant observation, interviews and focus group from community representatives, government representatives, people and officials. The results found that the community’s occupation is agriculture and they have the wisdoms of Lao Krang with Lao Krang method. They grow vegetables and local herbs for consumption and treat disease, they also have traditions and rituals related to rice. It can be used for tourism and promoting agricultural tourism among ethnic groups. Data were collected through documents and field survey, and were analyzed by content analysis. The findings reveal that Pak Chom District has a unique identity as a tourism area, centered around the Nakhon Hong legend. The area can be divided into two parts: 1) the downtown area, which includes residential neighborhoods, government offices, commercial establishments, the Phaya Anantara Nagathibodi Naga yard, a community market, and a bus terminal; and 2) natural resource areas and residential zones that showcase local lifestyles and cultures, such as Phu Kong, Phu Lamduan, Kaeng Chan, the Mekong Art Park, and areas focused on stone collection and gold panning. The government has strategies to continuously promote these locations as tourism destinations.
