The findings revealed that Krai Nai Community possesses rich cultural heritage resources, including religious and spiritual rituals, traditional folk songs accompanied by local performing arts, and handwoven fabrics with distinctive patterns that reflect the community’s identity, which are sold as four-star OTOP products. The community is also home to temples that serve as historically significant cultural landmarks. The overall potential of the community for cultural heritage tourism was assessed at a moderate level. When considered by aspect, the tourism resource potential was rated the highest, followed by moderate levels in accessibility and public facilities, while accommodation and community-based tourism activities were rated at a low level. Accordingly, in developing the community as a cultural heritage tourism destination in line with the creative economy concept, it is essential to enhance community participation in the management of tourism sites. This can be achieved through the creation of collaborative networks involving the community, government agencies, and the private sector.
Theewara Saengin Naluemon Sansamutjai Suthipong Pisitsenakul Morakot Thongprom Thanawat Khwanboon Copyright (c) 2025 Community-based Tourism Research Journal 2025-07-15 2025-07-15 2 1 1 14 Tourist Demand for Community-Based Tourism among the Tai Dam Ethnicity in Ban Na Pa Nat, Khao Kaeo Sub-district, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province https://so18.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/CBTRJ/article/view/1279
The research aimed to study the needs of tourists towards community-based tourism by the Tai Dam ethnicity in Ban Na Pa Nat, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, classified by the components of tourism that affect the needs of tourists towards by community-based tourism. The research methodology employed in this study was Participatory Action Research (PAR). The sample group was selected through purposive sampling, consisting of 40 tourists who had previously participated in activities and 1 farm operator. Data collection instruments included structured interview forms and pre- and post-activity improvement questionnaires. The trial period for the new pathway was 3 months.

The research findings revealed that the original activity planning had limitations in terms of activity appropriateness for target groups, unclear cost estimates, and inefficient time allocation. The results of the new pathway trial showed that tourists had greater ability to select activities that matched their interests, with an average duration of 5 hours and an average budget of 6,400 baht per group. The most popular activities included the "Khok Nong Na" system, Thai dessert making, and experiential learning activities based on the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy. However, the limitations of this study include the relatively small sample size and the study being conducted only at Than Tham Farm.
Arisa Phomsopha Jutharat Muhuana Kamonlak Siripak Thanakanyaphud Thingkhot Radasa Netsangsee Copyright (c) 2025 Community-based Tourism Research Journal 2025-07-15 2025-07-15 2 1 43 56
