In order to address this question, this research endeavored to investigate the mediating role of transactional leadership and transformational leadership in the relationship between teamwork and work engagement from the perspective of job demands-resources theory (JD-R theory). The study sample included 134 educational personnel. We employed the moderation analysis technique to examine the data. The study's findings indicated the relationship between teamwork and work engagement was positively moderated by both transformational and transactional leadership styles. This suggests that both types of leadership can empower teamwork to achieve better outcomes, but transformational leadership will be more effective.
