An approach to the development for Ban Ubon Phattana Community in Wang Nam Khiao District Nakhon Ratchasima of the tourism destination

Abstract

The study of the development guidelines for Ban Ubon Phatthana community, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, to become a tourist destination has 3 objectives as follows: 1) To study the potential to develop Nakhon Ratchasima Province into a tourist destination 2) To study the behavioral needs of tourists for tourism development in Ban Ubon Phatthana community, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province 3) To propose guidelines for the development of Ban Ubon Phatthana community, Wang Nam Khiao District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, to become a sustainable tourism destination in terms of both economy and environment. This mixed-method research collected in-depth interview data from government, private, and community sectors. Findings show Ban Ubon Phatthana has strong eco-cultural tourism potential with ongoing development in attractions, accessibility, and facilities. However, infrastructure and service limitations, such as transportation and accommodations, remain challenges. Public-private collaboration is essential for sustainable development, focusing on income generation, natural resource conservation, and infrastructure improvement.
