KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT TO CONSERVE THE ART AND CULTURE OF KORAT FOLK MUSIC PERFORMANCES IN NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims: 1. To study the general condition of arts and culture conservation; 2. To study the relationship between arts and culture conservation and knowledge management for preserving Korat folk music arts and culture in Nakhon Ratchasima Province; and 3. To present a knowledge management model for preserving Korat folk music arts and culture in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The research used mixed-method methods, including quantitative research using questionnaires to collect data from a sample of 400 people. Data were analyzed by finding frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. Hypotheses were tested using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Qualitative research used in-depth interviews with 18 people, divided into 4 groups as follows: 1. Korat music scholars; 2. Korat music performers; 3. Cultural conservation scholars; 4. People interested in Korat folk songs. Descriptive data analysis was used.

Findings were as follows; 1. Overall, the average score for knowledge management for the conservation of Korat folk music and performing arts in Nakhon Ratchasima Province was found to be at a high level. 2. Overall, there is a high positive relationship between the conservation of arts and culture and the management of knowledge for the conservation of Korat folk music and performing arts in Nakhon Ratchasima Province (r=0.751**). 3. The knowledge management model for the conservation of Korat folk music and performing arts in Nakhon Ratchasima Province revealed that the definition of required knowledge emphasizes knowledge on singing styles, rhyming techniques, lyrics, traditional transmission, and artist stories. Knowledge creation and acquisition utilizes practical practice, transfer of experience, data recording, and action research to preserve local wisdom. Knowledge management is systematically developed using technologies such as AI, digital data repositories, and public participation. Knowledge exchange and knowledge sharing are created through activities, communities of practice, and online channels to preserve the culture.
