THREE PRINCIPLES AND PROTECTION FROM DANGERS FROM DIGITAL MEDIA IN THE ONLINE WORLD

Abstract

This academic article discusses the integration of Buddhist principles with cybersecurity in the digital world. The author conducted studies using various sources, such as documents, textbooks, and news, along with analytical synthesis. The study revealed that in the current digital age, the online world has become vital in people's lives for communication, information access, entertainment, and business opportunities. However, the online world also poses numerous dangers and risks, including cyber threats, online harassment, inappropriate content, and misinformation, which can negatively impact mental health, relationships, and overall well-being. The article proposes that Buddhist principles and practices can help users protect themselves from online dangers and seek peace and happiness in the digital world. By applying Buddhist ethics and methods, users can critically evaluate and discern various forms of digital media under the guidance of Buddhist principles. This approach aims to enhance users' understanding, analysis, and differentiation of digital media, promoting safety in property and life while maximising benefits for individuals and society, both offline and online.
