About the Journal
Liberal Arts and Social Studies International Journal (LAASSIJ) the authorization of Faculty of Liberal Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) is an academic journal in an electronic journal platform. It is a source of discoveries or new knowledge in the fields of liberal arts and social sciences covered arts, humanities and applied sciences including arts and culture, home economics, cultural communication, interpersonal communication both verbal and nonverbal, service industry such as tourism and hotel management, hospitality, food Science and technology, food and restaurants, aviation business, convention and exhibition business, physical education and recreation, and applied science including various fields related. English is a medium for presenting quality articles and high standards that has been considered by experts in various fields in the future. LAASSIJ is published as a periodical, with three issues annually and is distributed in order to promote and support academics, researchers, and students both within the country and internationally to have the opportunity to present research and academic work for disseminating and exchanging science, especially new knowledge in the liberal arts and social sciences. The academic works include research articles, academic articles. and review articles and book reviews

Manuscript |
Manuscripts submitted for publication must not have been previously published in any journal or publication, except as research reports or dissertations, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. The editorial team will forward submitted articles to at least three peer reviewers, who are experts in the relevant fields, to ensure quality. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts based on the reviewers’ recommendations and obtain final approval from the editorial team before publication. |

Types of Manuscript Publication
|
The Editorial board is responsible for notifying errors/formatting issues. If no formatting corrections are necessary, articles will immediately be forwarded to experts in the relevant fields to further assess the article’s viability and completeness. The accepted liberal arts and social science articles are divided into four categories as described below. |
|
1) Academic Article: Academic articles typically present the core of assembled and analyzed academic content consisting of an introduction and a body that includes major, minor, and subordinate topics usually within a maximum of 20 pages. |
|
2) Research Article: Research articles typically arise from research studies conducted either individually or in collaboration with co-researchers. They usually contain a rationale of the study, objectives, hypothesis, scope, significance of the study, related research studies or other relevant literature, methodologies, data collection, data analysis, research conclusions, discussions, and recommendations; all of which is limited to a maximum of 25 pages. |
|
3) Literature Review: Literature reviews are based on an extensive review of relevant academic literature consisting of an author’s constructive criticisms and opinions. Its format includes a title, an abstract, a preface, content, and references; all of which is limited to a maximum of 15 pages. |
|
4) Book Review: Book reviews provide a concise summary of key debates presented in a particular book or multiple books. They may also highlight weaknesses/strengths from theoretical, empirical and informative standpoints. Book reviews are intended for the books’ prospective readers. For a book review, a maximum of 5 pages is strictly required |
Citations and References |
LAASSIJ follows the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th style. It uses the author-date method of citation, that is the name or surname of the author(s) and the year of publication inserted in the text at the appropriate point. If the name of the author appears as part of the narrative, cite only the year of publication in parentheses. Otherwise, place both the name and the year separated by comma in parentheses. The page number(s) may be cited as a specific part of a source. All the works cited in text with an author-date citation system must be listed alphabetically in the reference section in APA style under a ‘References’ heading. Examples are given below: |
