BUDDHADHAMMA APPLICATION FOR INCREASE EFFICIENCY IN THE ADMINISTRATION ON THE CHACHOENGSAO PROVINCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were: 1. To study the efficiency of administration, 2. To study the factors affecting the efficiency of administration, and 3. To present the application of Buddhist principles to increase the efficiency of administration of Chachoengsao Provincial Administrative Organization, conducted in both quantitative and qualitative methods, collecting data from a sample of 399 people, using a questionnaire with a reliability of 0.913 for the whole questionnaire, and conducting in-depth interviews with 18 key informants. The data obtained from the research results were then used for focus group discussions to confirm the results of the study.

Research findings were found that: 1. The overall efficiency of administration was at a high level ( = 3.93, S.D. = 0.56), ranked by quality of work, cost, time, and quantity of work, respectively. 2. Factors affecting the efficiency of administration were found that: 1. Administration, consisting of improvement, compliance with plans, and planning, had a statistically significant effect on the efficiency of administration of Chachoengsao Provincial Administrative Organization at a level of 0.01. 2. The four principles of Iddhipada, consisting of Viriya, diligence, perseverance, Chanda, desire, satisfaction, Vimamsa, investigation, and contemplation, had an effect on the efficiency of administration of Chachoengsao Provincial Administrative Organization. Statistically significant at the 0.01 level, and 3. Application of Buddhist principles to increase efficiency in the administration of Chachoengsao Provincial Administrative Organization was found that the four principles Iddhipada and management were applied as a basis for promoting efficiency in administration in all four areas, consisting of: 1. Quality of work by emphasizing correct, complete, timely quality and creating satisfaction for service recipients. 2. Quantity of work by planning time management to achieve the target amount of work. 3. Time by implementing work on time and systematically according to plan, and 4. Costs by spending that created maximum benefit and savings, creating value for the people.
