ENHANCING KNOWLEDGE AND MANAGING SOCIAL NETWORKS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF WAT PRACHA RATH SANG SUK PROJECT BY SANGHA ORDER OF PHRA NAKHON SI AYUTTHAYA PROVINCE

Abstract

Objectives of this research article were to: 1. Study the current state of project management of the “Wat Pracha Rath Sang Suk” initiated by Sangha Order in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. 2. Investigate the knowledge and social networks involved in the development of the “Wat Pracha Rath Sang Suk” project by the Sangha Order in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. 3. Present the enhancement guidelines of knowledge and management of social networks in the development of the “Wat Pracha Rath Sang Suk” project by the Sangha Order in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, conducted by the participatory action qualitative research. Key informants included 25 individuals or groups and 10 participants in focus groups discussion divided into four groups, namely, Sangha Order, Government official representatives, Networks Partners and People Representatives, Community Leaders and local leaders, Network partners and community representatives, Academician and Buddhist Scholars and 10 participants in focus group discussion, collected data by  In-depth-interviews, focus group discussions, and group meetings were utilized to gather factual information and data as specified. Data was analyzed and synthesized using descriptive interpretation.

The research findings indicated that: 1. The current state of project management for the “Wat Pracha Rath Sangsuk” initiated by the Sangha Order in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province was being conducted with the monasteries as the centers in accordance with the 5’s activity framework. Monasteries that did not achieve their objectives faced challenges, due to a lack of skilled personnel and legal issues related to the preservation of historical sites, artifacts, and art objects. 2. The knowledge base and social networks for developing the “Wat Pracha Rath Sangsuk” project by the Sangha Order in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province have reached their goals by organizing direct and indirect activities with people’s participation in joint decision-making, sharing sacrifices in work, benefiting from feedback and evaluating, and exchanging information to utilize resources collaboratively. 3. The enhancement guidelines of knowledge and management of social networks in developing the “Wat Pracha Rath Sangsuk” project by the Sangha Order in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, by creating a pleasant environment, organizing necessary things into categories, promoting the internal environment of the monasteries, and contributing to the restoration and preservation of arts and culture, as well as organizing cultural lifestyle activities that reflected identity while managing operational areas in accordance with the law.
