NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY IN BANGKHUNTHIAN DISTRICT, BANGKOK FOR SOCIAL WELFARE

This research article is a quantitative study. The objectives of the study were 1. to study the level of social welfare needs and 2. to study the basic problems of the elderly that affect the social welfare needs of the elderly in Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok. The sample group is people aged 60 years and over in Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok using the Yamane sample calculation formula. A total of 395 people with a questionnaire with a confidence value of 0.976 were analyzed using a ready-made statistical program on a computer. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.
The results of this study are: 1. The elderly have the highest social welfare needs in Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok (=4.28, S.D.=0.40) Solving the problem of poverty and disadvantage. Recreation and Education, respectively. 2. Basic problems of the elderly that affect the social welfare needs of the elderly in Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok, it was found that the elderly have the most basic problems of the elderly at the overall level. When looking at each side, it was found that the elderly had physical problems first, followed by social problems. Psychological problems are at the highest level. Economic problems and environmental problems, respectively. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the basic problems of the elderly Health problems psychological problems and economic problems. It affects the social welfare needs of the elderly in Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok at a statistically significant level of 0.01. Occupation and Wisdom of the Elderly.
