Abstract

This study examines how information dissemination innovations regarding benefit entitlements from the National Health Security Office influence residents' decisions to choose private healthcare facilities in Health Region 12. The study focuses on understanding how health benefit information influences public decision-making in healthcare service utilization. A quantitative research approach was employed. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire from a proportionally sampled group of 400 residents across the provinces in Health Region 12. The study employed proportionate stratified sampling to select respondents from each province within the study area. with an average  P-value of 0.05.

The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, and inferential statistics, including multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that innovation in the perception of benefit information—particularly accuracy, ease of access, and the appropriateness of the presentation—plays a substantial role in shaping public confidence and influencing the likelihood of utilizing private healthcare providers. Most respondents emphasized clarity, ease of understanding, and verifiability, as well as a comprehensive understanding of benefits. In conclusion, innovation in the dissemination and perception of benefit information under NHSO projects significantly affects people's decisions to utilize private healthcare services. The developing healthcare communication systems that provide accurate, accessible, and user-centered information can enhance public confidence in the healthcare system and promote more effective access to healthcare services in the future.
