A STUDY OF VILLAGE FUND MANAGEMENT GUIDELINES : A CASE STUDY OF BAN THUNG KHAN MAK VILLAGE FUND, VILLAGE NO. 6, KHAO NOI SUB-DISTRICT, SICHON DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to study the problems in the management of the Village Fund: A case study of the Ban Thung Khan Mak Village Fund, Village No. 6, Khao Noi Sub-district, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, and to study the management guidelines of the Village Fund: A case study of the Ban Thung Khan Mak Village Fund, Village No. 6, Khao Noi Sub-district, Sichon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. A qualitative research design was used. The sample group was selected by purposive sampling and in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 25 participants: 1) 13 village fund staff and committee members, 2) 4 representatives of village fund members, 3) 4 community leader representatives, 4) 2 bank staff, and 5) 2 staff from the Khao Noi Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The research instruments used for data collection included an interview guide and non-participant observation to explore data for the study. For data analysis, the researcher organized and analyzed the interview and observation data using content analysis. The research findings revealed that: 1) Problems in the management of the village fund can be divided into four aspects: 1) Village fund staff and committee members: Overall, the committee members lacked knowledge and expertise. 2) Village fund member representatives: Problems related to member participation in every meeting. 3) Village fund planning: Problems with fund collection from both old and new members. and 4) Village fund collection: Problems with each collection process. 2) Management guidelines for the village fund can be divided into: 1) Village fund staff and committee members, 2) Village fund member representatives, 3) Village fund planning, and 4) Representatives providing information on the collection of village fund money.
