The Factors Affecting Admission to Undergraduate Studies Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya Nakhon Si Thammarat

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the background information and factors influencing the decision to pursue undergraduate studies at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Nakhon Si Thammarat campus. The sample consisted of 303 undergraduate students from three areas: Khanom, Sai Yai, and Thung Yai, in the academic year 2023. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using frequency distribution, mean, percentage, standard deviation, and one-way analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA).
The results revealed that most students who decided to pursue further studies were female, resided in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, had a grade point average between 3.31 and 4.00, and their parents’ income ranged from 10,001 to 15,000 baht. The main sources of information for students were the university’s admission website, recommendations from senior students, and public relations boards, respectively.
Moreover, the factors influencing the decision to enroll were rated at a high level in all aspects, including university image, curriculum, environment, and university management.
