An Application of The Four Sublime States of Mind in accordance with the teachers’ Etiquettes in Bandongbang Nongkhien Scool, Nongsrapla Sub-district, Nongharn District, Udonthani Province

Abstract

An application of the Four sublime states of mind to a professional code of ethics for teachers at Baan Dongbung-nongkheuan School, Nongsrapla Sub-District Nongharn District Udon Thani Province. The Objectives of the research are: 1) to study on the Four sublime states of mind and a professional code of ethics for teachers; 2) to study on a conceptual framework of a professional code of ethics for teachers at Baan Dongbung-nongkheuan School, Nongsrapla Sub-District Nongharn District Udon Thani Province; 3) to present a guideline how to apply the Four sublime states of mind to teachers as a professional code of ethics at Baan Dongbungnongkheuan School, Nongsrapla Sub-District Nongharn District Udon Thani Province. The results revealed that: The Four sublime states of mind are: Loving-kindness, compassion, Sympathetic joy and Equanimity; these are a fundamental of living virtues. A professional code of ethics for teachers are very important for teachers are as follows 1) to protect the action of a professional code of ethics co-workers; 2) to maintain standards of a professional code of ethics; 3) to develop a professional code of ethics. The conceptual framework of a professional code of ethic for teachers at Baan Dongbungnongkheuan School, Nongsrapla Sub-District Nongharn District Udon Thani Province; are including 1) Ethics for oneself; 2) Ethics for professional code;  3) Ethics for students or clients; 4) Ethics for co-workers and 5) Ethics for society.

An application of the Four sublime states of mind to teachers as a professional code of ethics at Baan Dongbung-nongkheuan School, Nongsrapla Sub-District Nongharn District Udon Thani Province – to integrate the Four sublime states of mind to the five conceptual frameworks of a professional code of ethics for teachers are as follows 1) the teacher training process; 2) the integration of the Four sublime states of mind into the chapter or classroom. This is how to apply the Four sublime states of mind to a professional code of ethics for teachers; otherwise students will gain to understand the Buddha’s teaching as well.
