Identity from the perspective of Western philosophy and Eastern philosophy

Abstract

This article is an attempt to understand identity from the perspective of Western philosophy and Eastern philosophy. It aims to point out that the social structure philosopher's ideas How has it influenced the perception of identity in Western philosophy and philosophy to be different? From the study it was found that Western philosophy emphasizes reason and recognizes human freedom. This causes Western philosophy to view the Autonomous Self as having the characteristics of an individual who is separate from other people. While Eastern philosophy focuses on humans and their way of life. To want to live in society peacefully Eastern philosophy therefore does not attach importance to individual freedom. But look at the Relational Self as one with society.
