Publication Ethics

        Since the journal is a medium for communicating research results and new discoveries between researchers and the outside society, in order for academic communication to be of quality, correct, transparent, in line with international publishing standards and ethics in publishing articles according to the requirements of  the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Silpa Paritat Journal, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, has defined ethics for publishing works as follows:

Roles and responsibilities of the author

  1. Authors must certify that the work submitted for publication is new, has never been published anywhere before, and is not being submitted for publication to other journals at the same time as this journal.
  2. Authors must cite the work of others if they are used in their own work by stating the “source” to prevent copyright infringement (if there is a lawsuit, it will be the sole responsibility of the author. The journal will not be responsible in any way). For example, images, tables, etc., including a list of references at the end of the article.
  3. The author must write the article correctly according to the format specified in the “Author’s Guidelines”.
  4. Authors must check the accuracy of the reference list, both in terms of format and content.
  5. All authors whose names appear in the article must have participated in the actual writing of the article and acknowledge the submission of the article for publication in this journal. 
  6. The author must revise the article according to the evaluation results from the article evaluators and the editorial team within the specified time.
  7. The author must present the facts from the study without distorting the data or providing false information.
  8. The author must state the name of the funding source that supported the research (if any).
  9. The author must state any conflicts of interest (if any).

Roles and responsibilities of journal editors

  1. Editors are responsible for screening the quality of articles for publication in their responsible journals.
  2. Editors must not disclose the information of authors and reviewers to other unrelated persons during the article evaluation period.
  3. Editors must not have conflicts of interest with authors and reviewers.

  4. The journal editor must carry out the work related to the journal in accordance with the journal publication schedule specified.
  5. Editors must not use some or all of the information in the article as their own work.
  6. Editors have a duty to check for plagiarism in articles to prevent articles published in the journal from plagiarizing the work of others, using reliable programs that are accepted in academic circles.
  7. If the editor finds that the article has been plagiarized from other articles or has falsified information, which should be retracted, but the author refuses to retract the article, the editor can withdraw the article without the author's consent, which is the editor's right and responsibility for the article.

Roles and responsibilities of article reviewers 

  1. Reviewers must have a privacy protection system for reviewers, except in cases where there is open-access reviewing of articles, in which case the authors and reviewers have been notified in advance.
  2. The article assessors must maintain confidentiality and not disclose information about the article submitted for consideration to other unrelated persons during the article assessment period.
  3. After receiving an article from a journal editor and the article reviewer realizes that he/she may have a conflict of interest with the author, such as being a project collaborator or knowing the author personally, or other reasons that prevent him/her from giving independent opinions and suggestions, the article reviewer should inform the journal editor and decline to review the article.

  4. If the article reviewer finds that the article being considered is similar or duplicates with other works, the article reviewer must inform the editor.
  5. Article evaluators should evaluate articles in their field of expertise, considering the importance of the content of the article to that field, the quality of the analysis, and the intensity of the work. Personal opinions that are not supported by data should not be used as criteria for judging articles.
