摘要

The study entitled “A Model of Using Songkran Activities to Foster Relationships of Thai and Burmese Buddhists in Krathum Lom Subdistrict, Sampran District, Nakhon Pathom Province” consisted of the following objectives: 1) to study the behavior of oneself during the Songkran Festival of Burmese Buddhists 2) to develop Songkran activities. to strengthen the relationship between Thai Buddhists and Myanmar Buddhists; and 3) to present a form of Songkran activities, to strengthen the relationship between Thai Buddhists and Myanmar Buddhists. The results: Temples or areas that organize cultural activities and jointly to carry on various traditions emphasizing cultural ways that promote uniqueness. Inheriting the values, essences and things to do of Thai Songkran traditions such as cleaning temples, making merit, giving alms to monks, practicing Dharma, activities that focus on building relationships between Thai and Myanmar Buddhists. Concrete activities must be clearly promoted. Thai and Burmese brothers and sisters will cooperate, join forces, unite together as one. Organizing Songkran Festival to strengthen the relationship between Thai and Myanmar Buddhists in Krathum Lom Sub-district, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, 1) an activity to make merit by giving alms to monks in 2 nationalities, 2) an activity to pour water on monks and gratitude, 3) an activity to make merit for the ancestors, and 4) an activity to build a sand pagoda to create 3 values: 1) value towards the community, 2) social value, and 3) religious value.
