Tourist Demand for Community-Based Tourism among the Tai Dam Ethnicity in Ban Na Pa Nat, Khao Kaeo Sub-district, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province

The research aimed to study the needs of tourists towards community-based tourism by the Tai Dam ethnicity in Ban Na Pa Nat, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, classified by the components of tourism that affect the needs of tourists towards by community-based tourism. Data was collected using a questionnaire from 400 Thai tourists who traveled to the Tai Dam community, Ban Na Pa Nat, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The research results found that most of the respondents were female, 63.25 percent, aged 20-30 years, 71.00 percent, single, 40.00 percent, students—university students, 57.25 percent—with bachelor's degrees, 31.25 percent, and monthly incomes of 10,000-20,000 baht, 41.25 percent. In terms of tourist needs according to the overall tourism components, it was found that the respondents wanted tourism activities the most (mean = 4.30, S.D. = 0.61), followed by attractions (mean = 4.30, S.D. = 0.60), accommodation (mean = 4.15, S.D. = 0.70), facilities (mean = 4.10, S.D. = 0.61), and access to tourist attractions (mean = 3.91, S.D. = 0.81), respectively.
