A study of dogma the results towards the Boon Phawad tradition of Sam Paw community, Maung District, Udonthani Province

Abstract

Study a conceptual framework about Boon Pha Wet in Isan region and Buddhism. This research as a conceptual framework about the believe of Boon Pha Wet at Sampraw Village Muang District Udon Thani Province. The objectives of this research are: 1) to study on the influence of the preaching of Boon Pha Wet in Isan region; 2) to study on a tradition of the preaching of Boon Pha Wet in Sampraw Village Muang District Udon Thani Province; 3) to study on a believe of Boon Pha Wet at Sampraw Village Muang District Udon Thani Province.
The results revealed that:
1. The influence of Boon Pha Wet preaching in Isan region; to conserve the Isan twelve traditions of the religious ceremony in every Provinces; held on 2nd to 4th month called Boon Pha Wet. The result of conserve this tradition to create harmony and love of the village and society.
2. A tradition of the preaching of Boon Pha Wet in Sampraw Sub-District Muang District Udon Thani Province; the ceremony held by monastery, community leaders, government agencies and school to create harmony and unity in society. There are two types of the preaching of Boon Pha Wet as follows: 1) Preaching by old tradition with palm leaves and 2) Preaching by new tradition with moral of the stories.
3. A Believe of Boon Pha Wet of Sampraw Village Muang District Udon Thani Province; the one who finished by 13 chapters of the Boon Pha Wet will birth in the era of Metreya Buddha and especially, learn how to sacrifice self-benefit to others.
