An Analysis of Exchange Students’ Problems, Obstacles and Problem-solving Guidelines under the Memorandum of Understanding at Srinakharinwirot University
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the problems and obstacles experienced by international exchange students under academic cooperation agreements at Srinakharinwirot University and to propose development guidelines for improving the online systems related to the exchange student admission process. The participants consisted of 100 undergraduate exchange students. Data were collected using a questionnaire examining current problems, obstacles, and development needs, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings revealed that the overall perceived problems and obstacles were at the lowest level across almost all dimensions. However, issues related to the usability of online systems and the adequacy of information and guidance were reported at a moderate level. Regarding development guidelines, participants suggested improving information management and online registration systems, developing multilingual communication channels, organizing Thai language and cultural
activities, implementing a Buddy Program, and establishing dedicated advisors or support units for exchange students. These actions facilitate students’ adaptation and enhance the efficiency of international student management within the university context.
