Abstract
This research aimed to investigate the relationship between learning engagement and academic achievement in the blended learning instruction among students enrolled in the Faculty of Education at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The sample group consisyed of 126 first-year students selected using stratified random sampling. Data was collected through the administration of measures assessing learning engagement and academic achievement. Subsequently, the obtained data was analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients and the interpretation of the relationship was conducted utilizing a five- level evaluation criterion.
The findings revealed that the correlation coefficient between learning engagement and academic achievement in blended learning was statistically non-significant at a low level (r = .091, p- value = .312). The component of intrinsic motivation exhibited a low-level correlation with academic achievement (r = .119, p-value = .184), while the component of altruism towards learning showed a low-level correlation with academic achievement (r = .023, p-value = .796), and the component of commitment to learning demonstrated a low-level correlation with academic achievement (r = .073, p- value = .418). All of these correlations were statistically non-significant at the 0.05 level.
