The Follow-up of Training Course on Administrative Techniques for Primary Executive in Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning

Abstract

The purpose of this research was undertake a to follow-up inquiry into how participants apply knowledge frpm concerning a training course on management techniques for primary executives in the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning of the Ministry of the Interior into practice problems in application and recommendations for future training course. The sample consisted of 60 participants. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire. All sixty copies of the questionnaire distributed to the trainees were returned (100 percent) to the researcher. For data analysis descriptive statistics percentage, mean and standard deviation were utilized. Findings participants in this study were able to apply the knowledge they gained from this on-the-job training course overall at a high level, Moreover, they were also able to apply this knowledge at a high level in respect to all of the aspects considered namely. The psychology of management, management, environment, morality and ethics, and leadership, respectively, the participants encountered problems in applying the knowledge gained form on-the-job training program at a moderate level. Thirdly these participants demonstrated that the training was overall appropriate at a high level. They also held that the training program in all aspects were appropriate including the content of the curriculum, operational procedures, trainers, media utilized, and location aspects.
