Developing Reading Comprehension and Creative Writing Skills by Using The UPPA Learning Management Model for 8th Grade Students in Class 2/5 at Mahavajiravudh School, Songkhla Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research are (1) to develop innovative learning management UPPA model to be effective according to 70/70 criteria, and (2) to compare reading comprehension and creative writing skills before and after class by using the UPPA learning management model. The target population of 45 lower secondary school students or 8th grade who were studied in class 2/5 at Mahavajiravudh School, Songkhla province, in the first semester of the academic year 2021 . The students were selected by purposive sampling to participate in the research. Research instruments comprised 3 lesson plans designed following the UPPA model. The lesson plans were employed in the Experiment through teaching sessions for 6 hours. An Achievement test was given regarding the development of reading comprehension and creative writing skills. The test had two parts. Part One was a multiple-choice test which comprised 20 question items. Each item had 4 choices. Part Two was a writing test which had one question. The findings showed that the development of innovative learning management UPPA has the efficiency at 75.97/75.27 which was higher than the standard set of 70/70. In addition, student achievements regarding reading comprehension and creative writing skills were higher than prior to the Experiment at 0.05 level of significance.
