Developing Reading Skill of Mathayomsuksa 5 Students by Following the MACRO Model through Online

Abstract

This research aimed to develop reading skill of Mathayomsuksa 5 students by following the MACRO Model through online. The population was 148 upper secondary school students who ware studied in Mathayomsuksa 5/1 5/2 and 5/3 at Wat Phrasrimahadhat Secondary Demonstration School, Phranakhon Rajabhat University, Bangkok. The sample group was 49 students of Mathayomsuksa 5/3, using a specific random sampling method. Research instruments were lesson plans following the MACRO Model and a reading test which was a multiple-choice test. The test consisted of 20 question items. The data were statistically analyzed in mean score, standard deviation, and t test Dependent Samples. Research results showed that students' reading skill was higher than prior to the Experiment at 0.01 level of significance.
