Abstract

Efforts to transition to Thai democracy That changed with the military-sponsored seizure of government power in 2006 with a strategy for writing a new constitution and the judicial branch being used along with using methods to dissolve political parties It did not have much effect on changing the political conditions of Thailand. On the contrary, it has reduced the power of the people in a democratic system. Until it had to be repeated again with a coup d'état. 2014 and rewriting the 2017 constitution is just a struggle for political leadership on one side. It without being accepted by society As a result, the current Thai social and political situation has still not moved beyond democracy that is not firmly established.Thailand's transition from authoritarian rule to democracy will require consensus among elites and the people to accept new rules together. Those among the elites or politicians from various parties who want to see Thai society transitions to democracy and must help each other. All parties in society need to accept each other's power in society first. Thailand will then be able to make a democratic transition.
