Language Structure Characteristics of Isaan Idioms

Abstract

This article aims to study the language structure characteristics presented in Isaan idioms. This is done by gathering information on them from books, documents, researches, and interviews. The author collected altogether 890 Isaan idioms to analyze and determine the language structure characteristics peoples' thinking. The author revised how people reflect their world views about their surroundings. The of the study show that Structure of language used in Idiom can be divided into 4 types; 1) Single - word idiom, 2) multiple - words idiom, 3) phrase - idiom, and 4) sentence - idiom
