The objective of this research was to analyze the components of behavioral indicators of learner competencies at the basic education level towards becoming quality citizens in a knowledge-based economy society, as well as teacher competencies in learning design to develop learners from the basic education level to become quality citizens in a knowledge-based economy society. The data sources consisted of a group of 10 qualified individuals who assisted in content-validity checking of behavioral indicators of learners, a group of 1,107 persons used for analyzing the components of behavioral indicators of learners, a group of 7 experts who assisted in content-validity checking of behavioral indicators of teacher competencies, and a group of 1,155 teachers used for analyzing the components of behavioral indicators of teacher competencies. The research tools utilized were questionnaires on behavioral indicators of learners, using 5-point Likert scale. t-test to show Discrimination power=7.24-13.83 and Reliability=0.98. The data was collected during January-February B.E.2566. Statistical analyses used in the research included Pearson correlation coefficient, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin test, and Exploratory Factor Analysis to determine the weight of components and classify behavioral indicators.
Research Findings: 1.Behavioral indicators of learner competencies consist of 5 components: (1) Economic literacy for sustainable living, (2) Deep consumerism of goods and services for sustainability, (3) Dedication to utilizing one's and others' potentials for developing work processes based on knowledge-based economy, (4) Consciousness of sustainable economic citizenship, and (5) Confidence in using economic knowledge to elevate community economies and the country's GDP. 2.Behavioral indicators of teacher competencies consist of 3 components: (1) Designing learning management and developing learners into quality citizens in a knowledge-based economy society, (2) Utilizing growth mindset frameworks to develop learners into quality citizens in a knowledge-based economy society, and (3) Knowledge breadth and linkage of economics and economy to help learners keep pace with the global reality.
